I will be showing two new wood carvings and an etching at Dittisham Art Show on 28th and 29th July 2018; an exhibition featuring a varied selection of work made by professional and amateur artists from South Devon. My work is for sale, with a 40% commission going to village hall funding.
The venue is Dittisham village hall, open 10am – 7pm on Sat and 10am – 5pm on Sun.
Made of oak found in the Dart and inspired by swimming in the busy, boulder strewn upper reaches of that river.
Inspired by the natural shape of a hawthorn branch and the feel of swimming beneath a cool calm sea.
From an original life study, this etching depicts a roe buck on a quiet, starlit night.
My commissioned carving “The Ditsum Plum” can be seen on permanent display in the hall foyer.
Celebrating the past and present life in Dittisham’s plum orchards.
